Retrofit of a production building with nearly 20,000 sqm in floor space is now complete at the Wojskowe Zakłady Motoryzacyjne S.A.

Retrofit of a production building with nearly 20,000 sqm in floor space is now complete at the Wojskowe Zakłady Motoryzacyjne S.A. (WZM) site, representing yet another milestone in the development of the Regional Abrams Sustainment Centre at WZM.

The production building retrofit included, among others:

– thermal insulation,

– flooring replacement,

– overhaul of common areas,

– comprehensive replacement of building systems.

The upgrade work also covered four 50 t overhead cranes, two of which, working in tandem, provide tank handling capabilities inside the building.

The scope of the retrofit project also included production building safety improvements.

Now, the company is poised to proceed to initial maintenance activities on the first arriving tanks.
