Wielkopolskie Zakłady Pancerne Hipolita Cegielskiego w Poznaniu S.A.

On June 22, 2026, a Letter of Intent was signed at the Voivodeship Office in Poznań regarding the establishment of a new defense industry company, Wielkopolskie Zakłady Pancerne Hipolita Cegielskiego w Poznaniu S.A. (WZPHC). The new entity is planned to be created through a merger of Wojskowe Zakłady Motoryzacyjne S.A. and H.CEGIELSKI-POZNAŃ S.A.

The Letter of Intent was signed by five parties:
– Wojskowe Zakłady Motoryzacyjne S.A. (WZM)
– H.CEGIELSKI-POZNAŃ S.A. (HCP)
– Stomil-Poznań S.A. in liquidation (“Stomil-Poznań”)
– Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A. (ARP)
– Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (PGZ)

The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of State Assets – Wojciech Balczun, Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, and Government Spokesperson – Adam Szłapka, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of State Assets – Konrad Gołota, Second Vice Voivode of the Greater Poland Voivodeship – Jarosław Maciejewski, President of the Management Board of ARP – Daniel Ryczek, Vice President of the Management Board of ARP – Marek Zaleśny, President of the Management Board of HCP and President of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of WZM – Grzegorz Szkaradek, and President of the Management Board of PGZ – Adam Leszkiewicz.

The creation of WZPHC will bring together the complementary capabilities of Poznań’s industrial base, generating operational synergies and strengthening Poland’s defense manufacturing capacity. The new company is expected to enhance its product offering, support future growth opportunities, and further strengthen its position in an increasingly competitive defense market.
